What I do

I'm a second-year BSc AI (Honours) student at VU Amsterdam, doing AI and data science at Siemens. I work on computer vision, LLM pipelines, and full-stack tools that end up in real hands: a Chrome extension used by teachers across VU, an open-source Canvas backup tool with 4,000+ users, and an agentic reporting system for a sustainability consultancy.

On the side I've taught AI workshops to 300+ university faculty and staff, and I compete in hackathons: finalist at the Prosus × AISO agent hackathon, and a multimodal banking agent built in 24 hours at bunq Hackathon 7.0. If you're building something with applied ML, I'd like to hear about it.

    Data Science & AI - Working Student

    Siemens Nederland N.V. · The Hague

    • Building a computer vision pipeline for P&ID engineering diagrams: vector-based symbol detection with a custom graph clustering algorithm and VLM few-shot classification, deployed as an internal web tool.
    • Own the ETL pipeline for inventory reporting; resolved silent data-loss defects and expanded reporting coverage.

    • Building AISO's AI-native stack, including a RAG chatbot over Notion databases via MCP.

    • Shipped an agentic document-automation pipeline for sustainability reporting: LLM extraction with per-field source citations, deployed fully local for compliance, designed to cut reporting time 50%.

    Student Assistant - AI in Education

    VU Centre for Teaching & Learning · Amsterdam

    • Led 15+ GenAI projects from idea to production.
    • Shipped a Chrome extension with an Azure backend (Google OAuth, SSE streaming, rate limiting), live on the Chrome Web Store and rolling out to educators across the university.
    • Built an LLM pipeline that automates qualitative coding of student reflections on fully local inference: days of manual analysis down to ~9 minutes.
    • Taught AI workshops to 300+ faculty and staff across three faculties.
